Not that long ago Sennet was SO, SO mean to me when I picked him up from school- you can read about that here.  These days, he is always so happy to see me.  He stops what he is doing and runs over to me exclaiming “my mommy here!!” and is excited to go home with me.  It could have something to do with the fact that the weather is better and leaving with me most likely means a trip to the park??  No matter the reason- it is really nice!

That could be the end of the story.  That could be the flip of the switch.  That could be a dream.

Sennet loves his teacher Clara.  He asks where she is all the time.  The weekends are long with him asking when he can see Ms. Clara.  Alas, we know he loves school, his teachers and his friends.  He often begs to see Ms Clara as we are on the way to school.

So why is it that when I drop him off at school now he hangs onto me like I am dropping him off at boot camp? (and never coming back)  When the begging and hanging on doesn’t get me to stay he starts kicking and screaming and crying- “please mommy don’t go” or “Sennet go home with mommy.”

I’m not sure which is worse- the 20+minutes it takes to get out of his classroom in the am or the wrath I use to endure when I picked him up…..
