Husky Baseball
Last Friday night I took Sennet to his first college baseball game – which was my first college baseball game too. The University of Washington Huskies were hosting the Stanford Cardinal.
We took the light rail from Capitol Hill down to the University District and walked over to the ballpark.
I was a great night for a game, and the stadium was beautiful – right on Lake Washington. It was a pretty small stadium, especially compared to Safeco Field where the Mariners’ play (2500 seats compared to 48,000). But that meant every seat had great views. We started off right behind home plate, but since the stadium wasn’t very full we moved around a bit to get different views of the game and hopefully catch a foul ball (no such luck).
Sennet was pretty excited, and wanted to get a Huskies’ cap. UW ended up winning 4-3 with a walk-off RBI in the ninth inning.
