7th birthday

Sennet’s 7th birthday was a little crazy. About 90 people RSVP’d and that’s just a bit insane. Yes, we know we invited that many people but typically only about half can come – but this year it was about 90% that came, and then there were lots of siblings. About 20 minutes before people were to arrive the bouncy house flipped a breaker, and then the outlet we had for food-warmers flipped too and we couldn’t figure it out. Then it started raining and Sennet was walking around saying his birthday was ruined and no one would come, and in the meantime I am just trying to stay calm while sweating bullets and pretty much agreeing with Sennet. This was the first year we had rain before or during his party but thankfully it cleared up right when the party was to start and then didn’t start raining (pouring) until about almost 2 hours later – which is a good time to start wrapping things up. The party was crowded, but I think everyone had a good time. Sadly, I didn’t get any photos of the party, candid-style, of kids playing etc- it was just too insane. But I did get most of the kids Sennet’s age in the photo booth. His party was baseball themed so we had ball park food – burgers, hot dogs, beer, cotton candy, kettle corn, bubble gum, and we did an ice cream sundae topping bar again. If you ever want to see children turn into lunatics, just put them in front of a sundae bar!
