We took Sennet to his first Aikido class- after he cried and whined all morning (and last Saturday morning) that he didnt want to go. We took him to Emerald City Aikido, on Capitol Hill – just a few miles from our house. We told him he wouldn’t need to go to any other classes after today if he didn’t like it but there would be no ipad today if he didn’t try it.  I think you can tell from the photos that we’ll be going back.

He was a bit shy when we got there so he watched for a few minutes but was pretty quick to join in once he saw the fun.






The new kids wanted to win the race and weren’t really paying attention to the exact moves.  Next time??




He actually took to it really fast.  Not sure where he got his athletic ability?  Not me, that’s for sure.
