Skiing
Sennet had his fourth and final ski lesson for the season last Saturday. He’s been loving it, but we’ve been a bit annoyed that he’s had a different instructor every week. Next year we’ll stay with The Summit at Snoqualmie for our resort, but go with a different outfit for his lessons.
That being said, he has learned a lot and loves to ski. He rides the chairlift now and skis down the ‘green’ Little Thunder run with no problem. After his last lesson I met up with him and said we could ski as long as he wanted and then get hot chocolate. It was super warm out (almost 60°!) and the whole mountain was melting – but he didn’t mind.
We ended up skiing for the next two hours before he was ready to rest. We got hot chocolate and a bagel, and then headed home. With lessons over for this season, we’ll just go up on our own from now on and ski when we want to… Last week I tried to get some video of him skiing, but by the time I pulled my phone out, he had shot down the mountain. I was a bit more prepared this week:
