Mariners Game
A co-worker gave me two tickets to Tuesday night’s Seattle Mariners game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Club level seats a bit behind home plate.
Sennet had a music lesson (piano) at Meter Music School just up the street from our house, and after he got home from that we took the light rail down to the stadium for the game. He had a hot dog, pretzel, and cotton candy, and really enjoyed the game. I had a crab melt sandwich – delish! It was a gorgeous summer evening.
The Mariners were struggling and at one point, after the they gave up two runs and Arizona went up 5-1, Sennet sighed and said, “I’m not really happy right now. They are playing terrible.” But it didn’t seem to really bother him too much. He had his mitt and kept waiting to catch a foul ball.
We made it until the top of the 8th inning, and by that time it was almost 9:30 and pretty dark. He wanted to stay for the whole game, but I told him it was time for bed. We left and took the light rail back (in the dark – which he was thrilled with), getting home about 10pm. This was his third Mariners game.
Final score: Arizona 8-4 over Seattle.
