Bicycles and looking into the future
Kevin finally made it home after a week away for work. It is really, really hard being a single parent so both Sennet and I are happy to have him home. As soon as Kevin got home, he took Sennet outside to play (thankfully it is sunny finally) and he wanted to ride his push bike. We read that if kids start with a push bike rather than training wheels, they will learn balance and will be ready for a real bike sooner. Kevin got some great video of Sennet riding all by himself- the first time he has pushed on his own.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOpxaHoM1_s]Kevin and I went to an outdoor concert festival last night and the weather was perfect. The average age of the other concert goers was younger than us and I found myself wondering what Sennet will be like when he is that age. Will he be handsome? What kind of music will he like? What will his style be like? Will he be one of those kids smoking pot? Will he be kind to girls (or boys)? Will he be one of the kids other parents around their kids? Or not? All very weird things to think about- but exciting too.
