After months of looking on Craigslist for this specific type of bed I could not get out of my head- I found it, sanded it and painted it up real nice and volia- Sennet will be sleeping in a big boy bed tonight!

As a side note- most days I am TOTALLY glad that I had a little boy.  But when it comes to decorating with the horrid so-called “boys” room stuff…. even the “gender neutral” options that I would be right up my alley for a little girl seem to be a bit “girlie” for a boy.  Sigh

So of course that meant I spent another chunk of time looking for this bedding that pottery barn has discontinued- I found it on ebay and while it was more than I wanted to spend at least I won’t vomit every time I walk in Sennet’s room!

If I was a designer and had lots of money I would start a boys clothing line (and now add bedding) called Metro Boy.  It would be cool like The Gap but not so preppy and be more accessible with Target prices.  I promise you there would be no trucks or dinosaurs anywhere!!!  I know there is a need for just this sort of thing because I hear it all the time how much people love little girl stuff (at all price points) and hate the shit that they think parents of little boys want!
