Not really, but we did get about 4 inches of big, beautiful flakes. Fell slowly throughout the day like chicken feathers – made the whole neighborhood glow. That kind of weather really wrecks Seattle, but for us it was awesome. It was really the first time Sennet got to experience snow when he could understand it and appreciate it.

We got him all dressed up in warm clothes and boots, and I took him on his push-bike over to the Madrona playground. He slipped and slid around a bit, but never fell down. He did stop a few times to clean the snow off his wheels and handlebars – a bit fastidious, that one.
He loved playing in the snow: throwing snowballs, rolling around, running, jumping, and building a little snowman.
Then his gloves got soaked through and his hands froze. That was the signal to head back home where mom served homemade hot chocolate with marshmallows AND whipped cream. We sipped the chocolatey goodness as the snow kept falling.
