Sennet has been counting uno, dos for months.  Everything was uno, dos, dos, dos…  Recently he add tres to the mix.  I have been in awe (read envy) of much younger kids easily counting to 20 and beyond and wondered if Sennet would ever move beyond tres. Today it happened and it was very cool.  He was on the potty looking at his truck book and he was pointing to the different trucks and boats on the page and started counting (in Spanish).  Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez, once, dose, trece, quatorce!!!  And it hit me- he waited to count until he understood the concept of what he was saying!  On a photoshoot recently, the little girl had just turned two and she counted to 20.  I commented that I was impressed and her dad said she knew the words but didnt really know what the numbers meant.  Our boy likes to sit back and figure things out and then he explodes- just the same way he walked and talked!”
