We took a fun day trip to Panajachel from La Antigua. It is only 50 miles but took over two hours to get there as the roads are often only one lane and frequently in disrepair and traverse through small towns (villages) where the traffic is slow.

We took a boat ride to a few of the villages and Sennet was beside himself with joy on the boat (Auntie Anneka if you are reading this…Sennet is hoping for at least one outing before the season is over) and then it was time to head back as we were all tired.

Aunt D- did you notice the Antigua Jersey? After literally an hour of hunting at the market I found the jersey for Sennet!

Lago de Atitlán is beautiful but I often found myself comparing it to Lake Washington and the amazing back drop of the Pacific North West. They are so different it is hard to compare but certainly Lake Washington holds its own.
