Took Sennet back to the Medgar Evers Pool last Sunday. He asked if they could pull the rope swing down and they did. So much fun – he and I spent the rest of the time swinging and dropping into the pool. No other pool in Seattle has a rope swing, and I can’t remember any pool I’ve ever gone to having one either. Pretty awesome.
The last few Fridays Sennet and I have been riding our bikes to his school. We’ll park somewhere closer to his school and ride in. Today we crossed the University Bridge on the way in.

Marla and Gordon invited us to go sailing with them on Sunday, April 17th. Stacie had an open house, so I took Sennet. We met them at Windworks Sailing Club at Shilshole Marina. They belong to the sailing club and are able to rent sailboats whenever they want.
We sailed from about 11 in the morning until almost 4pm. The weather was gorgeous and it was a lot of fun.
We sailed out from the marina, across the shipping lanes, and then south down the coast of Bainbridge Island. Once we were across from Elliot Bay and could see the city, we crossed back over the Sound and then sailed north back up to Shilshole Bay.
Sennet even got to drive the boat, both under sail and under motor. He was pretty jazzed.

Another successful weekend game for Sennet and the Red Caps. They scored a lot of runs and made some good outs.
Sennet had two doubles and a single in his at-bats. He was also involved in the plays for some outs when in the field. Probably could have had a couple more outs, but that’s baseball…
