The other evening Sennet asked what was for dinner? Stacie told him potato soup, and he sighed and said he didn’t like that. We both told him that he did like it, and he ate it all last time. He asked if it had carrots in it, and we told him no. He said,
“Good, I don’t like the one with carrots.” Later, when Stacie brought the soup out he looked at it and kind of moaned and said,
“This is the kind I hate. I thought I made it clear last time, I don’t like this kind of soup!”
He ended up eating most of it, but it made us both laugh.

Last week I bought some white bread for a recipe – we normally don’t buy white bread and so Sennet hasn’t really eaten much of it. The recipe only called for two slices, so we still had the whole loaf. We’ve been making him toast with it, to go with his eggs in the morning, and he’s been loving it! The other morning we asked him if he wanted some eggs for breakfast and he said,
“Yes, please. Can I have some magic toast with them? I love that toast. Is it some kind of special recipe?”
Again, Stacie and I just laughed.
