we took a day trip to Tequila today and took a tour of the Sauza Tequila plant. The town of Tequila is very quaint in all the best ways and I am glad we took the drive.

It was beautiful in Seattle (albeit quite windy) so we went to the lighthouse at Discovery Park. Brace yourself people, I am actually in a few shots so scroll down!
A new fire station just opened (it is really close to our old house) and we pass it everday so we were it being built. There has been a lot of anticipation for the day where Sennet got to tour the station. Mena and her family met us there too! Sennet was over the moon and in his element!
Sennet’s school was closed today. We went to the zoo and had some lunch. It was a good day.
I took Sennet for a ride on a ferry for the first time on Saturday. He rode on the boat in Guatemala, and we’ve been out on the kayak a number of times, but he hadn’t been a ship this big yet. We drove downtown and got on one of the ferries to Bainbridge Island, about half an hour across the Puget Sound. He was pretty excited. Once we drove onto the ferry and parked, we went up top to see the view. As we pulled out of Seattle, we could see the skyline behind us, with the highrises, new waterfront ferris wheel, and Space Needle in the distance.
Sennet wanted to run all over the ship. We went below decks, above decks, to the interior seating area, the dining area, back outside, back inside, up again, down again – he didin’t stop moving until we had to get back in the car to disembark.
Once over on Bainbridge we drove down to the marina and had lunch at restaurant on the water called Doc’s. Sennet had mac & cheese (Kraft brand, to be precise!) and I had fried oysters & chips. And a bloody mary. Then we walked around the waterfront, along the wharf and docks and trails.
Eventually we drove back to the ferry dock, and hopped back on for the return trip. We ran around a bit again, but then sat inside and had some popcorn and watched the Sound slide past us.
