It is going to be a real shock when Sennet gets stung by a bee- but for now he loves to play with them…. I swear it might even be the same bee that has claimed Sennet as a friend. He holds it and tosses it around and then the bee comes back for more- it’s very weird and crazy!

We bought Sennet a toy saxophone for his birthday, and he took to it right away. He has been able to differentiate between a trumpet, saxophone, and tuba when he sees one in a book or on tv for quite some time.
These last couple days he has been wandering around the house giving impromptu concerts, to us, to the dogs, and sometimes just to himself in the mirror. Very entertaining.
I wish I had kept the camera rolling when he was on the coffee table in the living room, just dancing and playing the sax all by himself – not a care in the world.

We just took Sennet to his 3-year check up with Dr. Meehan. His appointment went great and the doctor was very pleased with everything.
Here is a recap of his main stats, and an overview of his older ones:
3-year stats:
40-1/4 inches tall – in the 95th percentile. (3 feet 4-1/4 inches).
38 lbs in the 94th percentile.
Doc was very happy, didn’t have any instruction other than keep on doing what we’re doing…
2-year stats:
37-1/2 inches tall – still off of their chart.
31 lbs. right at the 75 percentile again – doc very very pleased with this consistency.
18-month stats:
35 inches tall, off their chart.
27.7 lbs, and is still right around the 75th percentile for weight.
15-month:
Height: 34.5 inches – almost 3 feet tall!
Their chart only goes to the 95th percentile. She said if last time he was 95+, then this time he’s 95++
Weight: 26.4lbs
This is in the 75th percentile, which is what it was last time – so she’s very pleased with his consistency.
12-month:
32-1/4 inches
Their chart only goes to the 95th percentile. She said if last time he was 95+, then this time he’s 95++
25.3lbs
This is in the 75th percentile, which is what it was last time – so she’s very pleased with his consistency.
9-month:
29-1/2 inches tall
21.7 lbs

Sennet continues to be an exceptional eater – when he wants to be.
Last night Stacie made BBQ ribs with corn-on-the-cob and mashed potatoes, and we ate out on the kitchen deck for the first day of summer. Sennet dove into the ribs and the corn, but immediately stated, “I don’t like that” while pointing at the potatoes.
After finishing his ribs and corn, Stacie went to get him some watermelon for dessert. While she was inside he tried the potatoes, and then proceeded to finish them off.
Some days he’ll eat anything in front of him, some days we’re lucky if we can get him to eat anything other than a banana (which I’ve yet to see him turn down – loves his bananas).
