and other things I NEVER thought would come out of my mouth (or at least not so soon) Sennet “you have penis?” Me “no I have a vagina” Sennet “I have penis not no gina. You a girl, I a boy so I have penis.” Thanks for clarifying. Me during bath time “no more soap- Sennet you’re wasting soap” Sennet “my penis so big I need more soap.” Me “Sennet why do you keep peeing on your floor?” (this is his new thing and it is driving me CRAZY! Sennet “I a dog.” Me “you’re not a dog, you’re a boy and boys pee in the potty and even if you were a dog you would not pee on your rug inside you would pee outside in the grass.” This morning on the way to school I see him pulling his pants down in the grass and I yell at him to stop and he says “I a dog.” Me to Sennet while he is on his potty “Sennet you can play with your penis after you are done pottying.” What- did I just say that? Sennet “is a tiger going to bite you?” Me “I don’t think so- I don’t know any tigers.” Sennet “where tigers live?” Me “they live in the jungle and sometimes in a zoo.” Sennet “why they live in the zoo if they should live in the jungle?” The first among many things that I agree with but won’t be able to explain very well. Sennet “can you hit me?” Me “no I don’t want to hit you.” Sennet “you hit me first so I can hit you back.” Thanks but no…. There are many more examples I have to save a few!
Watching and collecting snails is one of Sennet’s absolute favorite things to do. This was a quick session on our way to school this morning
Just a few pics taken with my phone. First one is at Seward park throwing rocks and the other is him watching us eat dinner while ‘hiding’ in the window that overlooks the deck where we were sitting.
La Escuelita was closed today so I took Sennet to the zoo today with our neighbor and fellow La Escuelita student. It was super crowded because there were MANY schools on end of year field trip. It was still fun and they kids had a blast.
Another sport Sennet has been keen on lately is baseball. He wants to go out in the backyard and hit the squishy, soft baseball with his oversized soft bat. When he connects with the first ball, you can hear him yell, “Home Run!”
