The teacher asked me not to let him wear these boots to school because he takes them on and off all day. The next day his tennis shoes straps were taped shut because apparently he took those on and off all day too…

We signed Sennet up for Lil’ Kickers Soccer For Kids. Today was his first class or practice or whatever you want to call it. I took him down to Arena Sports in SODO, in his Bayern Munchen team kit that my sister had bought for him. He had a blast. He was running, kicking, jumping, dribbling, scoring. Coach Morgan was very patient and friendly to the kids. She had them do soccer drills like dribbling the ball down and shooting it into the net, as well as fun stuff like stomping on bubbles, kicking over cones, and playing “Red Light, Green Light.” Sennet loved it, although it took him a bit to really start taking the instruction.
By the end of the 50-minute session he was tired out enough to fall asleep in his car seat on the ride home…
Here is some video of his day:

At the moment, Sennet’s favorite color is green. It is almost a problem. He wants green shirts every day, he wants green milk (meaning a green cup) and green shoes daily.
At school he has to be the last in line as all the kids go out to play in the courtyard (they all hang onto a hand rope – think chain gang) so that the other kids have a chance to ride the tricycles (there are 2).
Sennet now climbs out of his crib in the morning if we dont come in soon enough – time for a big boy bed.
Sennet now knows the names of Sesame characters other than Elmo. Cookie Monster, Abby, Grover, Oscar the Grouch and a few others.
He eats like Cookie Monster sometimes – which is very annoying
He still only counts to dos.
He is singing the ABC’s and The Wheels on the Bus songs (of course only I can understand what he is saying).
Sennet is not a morning person – most days he wakes up on the grumpy side. He gets that from me.
He isn’t quite as intrigued with his poop any longer and can sit on the potty and finish his business in one sitting.
He will always ask for more honey and syrup- so pour sparingly on the first go round.
If you give him a bag of trail mix, he will always eat the chocolate candies first- he gets that from me…
Now with video footage proof!
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e20iemIGrvY]The last couple mornings Sennet has woken up before us, climbed out of his crib and opened his door. We hear something, look out in the hallway, and he’s standing there in his jammies…
Kevin and I got iPhones this week and these are all pics from the camera- which for a phone camera is not bad at all. We have had crisp sunny days the last few days albeit a bit chilly- pretty much perfect!
Why slide when you can walk up and down like the big kids?

Shooting hoops today and really getting off the ground

Sennet seems to have patterned his eating after one of his Sesame Street heroes, the Cookie Monster. Thankfully he doesn’t eat this way very often. It can be pretty funny, but mostly it’s just freaking annoying…
