Sennet’s friend (our neighbor’s daughter) Mena turned three this weekend and we went to her birthday party.  It was really fun and the kids had a blast.  They rented a bubble machine that turned out 1000’s of bubbles and it was a HUGE hit- so much so that I think we need to buy one of them.

No offense to anyone who was or is a thumb sucker or anyone who has a child that was or is a thumb sucker- but it really annoys me and I am so glad Sennet doesn’t suck his. I also think kids should lose the binky way sooner than most of them seem to break that habit but at least the parents can take it away.  What are you suppose to do about thumb sucking- cut off their thumb? I think I find it so annoying because the kiddos at Sennet’s school that suck their thumb also happen to be the whiners who also seem to have an blankie or lovie they have to have in hand 24/7 as well.  I guess as a parent you do what works but I say take away the lovie, take away the binky and keep the thumb attached to the hand.  Two out of three…
