Patriots Jet Team

We walked down the hill from our house to Madrona Beach on Lake Washington to watch the Seafair Air Show. Usually it’s the US Navy Blue Angels, but due to the sequestration cuts they weren’t doing any shows this year. Seafair brought in the Patriots Jet Team, a civilian aerobatic formation team based in Byron, CA. They fly the Czech-built Aero L-39 Albatros planes, so they aren’t as fast, loud, or as powerful as the F/A-18 Hornets that the Blue Angels fly, but Sennet loved watching them nonetheless. Afterwards we picked wild blackberries along the lakeshore. Sennet proclaimed them “delicious!”
